A mission of Tohoku University Undergraduate School of Medicine is to bring up future doctor who acquire knowledge oriented warm personality and high ethical standards viewpoint. People desire doctors to be capable of making a proper judgment and have discernment as a leader in various fields. We promote an education that enables students to obtain ability to lead/practice aimed at a resolution. A willingness to learn can be significance for educating individual who contribute human's happiness. Thus, we create curriculum that together teacher and student get involved for bringing on students with magnanimity and practice.
Our organization chart establishes school of medicine beside the graduate school of medicine. This graduate school of medicine trains clinical doctor and medical researcher with highly-practiced and knowledge-based performance in global bases. From this fact, we provide MD-PhD course for students who have ambition to learn towards medical science. MD stands for Medical Doctor, PhD stands for Doctor of Philosophy. Thus, this course is for training doctor who holds PhD (please refer Admission Information Graduate).
