Laboratory Introduction

The Division of International Health in Tohoku Univ.ersity was established in April, 1998. With particular concern of preventable death, disability and suffering, we are engaged in education, research and projects for social contribution. The main area of topics are: (1) Quality and Safety in Healthcare and Health Service Systems, (2) Human Security and Health Development (3) Disaster Health Management.

The international program “Public Health Sciences for Human Security” (for Master degree; 2 years) offers interdisciplinary courses in English, in which we provide a training-of-trainer’s course on Evidence-based Participatory Quality Improvement (EPQI) .
