Sakura Science Plan 2019 （Nov 25ｰ29)
Through Sakura Science Plan conducted by the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST), we invited twelve students from Asian countries: Taiwan, Viet Nam, Indonesia, Bangladesh, and Korea.
Since 2014, we have organized this program together with the Tohoku Tabunka Academy Foundation (TTA), and this is the 5th batch. We have been accepting more than 70 trainees, and some of them enrolled in our faculty indeed. This time, we have included the graduate school of Life Sciences to expand the future possibility of this program.
On the first day, after the opening ceremony, they visited Tohoku Medical Megabank Organization and Tohoku University Clinical Skills Laboratory. On days 2-4, they visited the department which they are interested in and leaned the actual researches conducted there. At the Activity Report on the last day, they have presented the summary of their activities. We hope that it was a fruitful opportunity for them to consider their future careers.
The Graduate School of Medicine will continue this program to invite many of the students who are interested in studying at Tohoku University.
