OUTLINE

Division of Personalized Prevention and Epidemiology mainly organizes Community Base Cohort Study in Tohoku Medical Megabank Project. The mission of this cohort study is to assess the long-term impact of the Great East Japan Earthquake on disaster victims and gene-environment interactions on the incidence of major diseases, such as cancer and cardiovascular diseases. Over 80,000 participants joined this cohort and follow-up surveys are ongoing. We also organized community measurement program of sodium potassium ratio as a part of COI Tohoku Program. Researchers who are interested in population approach for community, etiology of diseases, or personalized health care, please contact us
