Tohoku University established SiRIUS (Institute for Medical Innovation) in April 2025 as a new core hub for clinical research and medical innovation. This Institute provides a dedicated environment for young physician-scientists (hereinafter referred to as PIs) to focus on their research. Furthermore, through collaboration with various clinical departments of Tohoku University Hospital, SiRIUS supports the translation of innovative research seeds into practical applications.To commemorate the establishment of SiRIUS, we are pleased to announce the kick-off symposium. This symposium will feature keynote speeches by Professor Marie-Pierre Favre, Vice President (Global Engagement) and CGO of Tohoku University, and Professor Isaac Kohane, Vice Provost of Harvard University and Special Advisor to the President of Tohoku University. Additionally, it will be held the symposium by young PIs.
We cordially invite all interested individuals to participate.
