Scholarships

MEXT scholarship

If you wish to apply for MEXT scholarship, you must apply well in advance of starting your study in Japan.
Please find the overview from this page:

Scholarships by private foundations

Most scholarships by Japanese scholarship foundations are for regular students (Bachelor’s, Master’s, and PhD program students).

(Reference) List of scholarships that are usually sent to TU (Please open handbook’s PDF and search for “Scholarship”)
There may not be openings every year. Some scholarships are not offered to the GSM due to different fields.

The number of scholarships is limited, and it is very competitive to obtain one.
Also, many foundations require applicants to have a certain level of Japanese language skills

If a scholarship is essential for you to study in Japan, it is recommended you look for scholarships you can apply for directly before coming to Japan.
