OUTLINE

We conduct epidemiological studies on cancer using cancer registration data from Miyagi Prefecture, data from questionnaire surveys conducted at Miyagi Cancer Center, and data from cohort studies conducted jointly with other facilities.
The Cancer Registration Promotion Law was enforced in 2016, and national cancer registration has started. In April 2019, the Miyagi Cancer Registration Office was set up at the Miyagi Cancer Center under the designation of the Governor of Miyagi Prefecture and is engaged in registration, tabulation, and data provision.
Through the activities of the Council of the Designated Cancer Care Hospitals in Miyagi Prefecture and the Tohoku Cancer Network, we are promoting the improvement of the quality of in-hospital cancer registration data, the utilization of data, and the development of human resources.
We play a leading role in both regional and in-hospital cancer registrations, promote the use of cancer registration data, conduct cancer epidemiological studies, aiming to contribute to the promotion of cancer control and prevention.

私達は、宮城県のがん登録データ、宮城県立センターで実施している質問紙調査、他施設と共同で行っているコホート研究のデータ等を利用し、がんに関する疫学研究を行っています。
平成28年にがん登録推進法が施行され、全国がん登録が開始されました。平成31年4月、宮城県知事の指定を受け、宮城県立がんセンターに宮城県がん登録室が設置され、登録、集計、データ提供の業務を行っています。
宮城県がん診療連携協議会、東北がんネットワークの活動を通し、院内がん登録のデータの質の向上、データの活用、人材の育成を推進しています。
私達は、地域がん登録と院内がん登録の双方において、指導的な役割を果たすとともに、技術的支援を行い、がん登録情報の利用を推進し、宮城県および日本のがん対策の推進に貢献することを目指しています。
