OUTLINE

Many people have much stress in the present. Mental health cares of students are most important, because student days are overlapping the predilection ages of various psychiatric disorders. We research to develop diagnostic methods and therapeutic agents that lead to the prevention and early treatment of mental illness, such as the central histamine that has been deeply involved in the sleep-wake rhythm.

現代社会はストレス社会とも言われ、学生においてもメンタルヘルスケアが重要視されている。学生時代は様々な精神疾患の好発年齢に重なるため、学生生活を維持し、今後の社会生活を円滑に営んでいくためにも、精神疾患の早期発見や治療を行うことが大切である。本分野では、睡眠覚醒リズムに深く関与している中枢ヒスタミンに焦点を当てたメンタルヘルス予防や治療法の実証的研究を行っている。
