In the heyday of PCI, I questioned the operation to select STENT with IVUS during STENTING. Is preoperative evaluation possible? With an interest in non-invasive testing for the purpose of preoperative evaluation, I have been working on cardiology imaging using multimodality and have accumulated a lot of knowledge. However, the number of patients has not decreased at all.
Many cardiologists are battling with acute diseases such as myocardial infarction, represented by myocardial infarction, the patients are transported to the hospital on a daily basis. However, to use reality as an analogy, we are merely reaching out to those who are jumping off a cliff. Those who were caught by the arm are saved, and those who were not.... That is why I eager to find people who are about to jump and give them a hand before they jump. That is the kind of research we want to do. Our laboratory has accumulated CT, MRI, PET, and US images and blood sampling data of more than 80,000 whole-body cases over a period of more than 20 years. Using this data, we are working on pre-diagnosis (ultra-early imaging diagnosis).
It’s too late to make a diagnosis after the onset of the disease. If we can predict the onset of the disease and control it… why don’t you work with us?

PCI全盛期の中、STENTINGの際にIVUSでSTENTを選択する操作に疑問を抱きました。「術前評価が可能ではないのか？」
術前評価を目的として、非侵襲的な検査に興味を持ち、マルチモダリティを用いた循環器画像診断に取り組み、多くの知見を積み上げてきました。しかしながら、一行に患者様は減ることがありません。
循環器内科医の多くは日々搬送されてくる心筋梗塞を代表とする急性期疾患と戦っています。しかし現実を例えるなら、崖から飛び降りてくる人に手を差し伸べているにすぎません。腕を捕まえられた人は助けられ、そうでなかった人は・・・。だからこそ、飛び降りそうな人を見つけて、飛び降りる前に手を差し伸べたい。そんな研究がしたいと思っています。我々の研究室では20年超に及ぶ8万例以上の全身のCT・MRI・PET・US画像と採血データを集積いたしました。このデータを用いて、発症前診断(超早期画像診断)に取り組んでいます。
発症してからでは、遅いのではないか？発症を予測し、発症の抑制に繋げられたら、そんな思いを胸に一緒に仕事をしませんか
