OUTLINE

Advanced course for fetal and pediatric medicine is launched in Miyagi Children’s Hospital for graduate students who study disorders of fetus and children. Miyagi Children’s Hospital is the only children’s hospital in Tohoku area, and provides diagnosis and treatments for various kinds of fetal and pediatric disorders. Based on the accumulated clinical knowledge in our hospital, research theme and plan for research will be made for each graduate student.

先進成育医学講座は、胎児期から小児期、思春期を経て成人期に至るヒトの成長・発達とその異常に着目し、胎児疾患・小児疾患の病態を明らかにし、その治療法の開発・評価を行う。宮城県立こども病院で診療している内科系・外科系の様々な疾患を対象に臨床研究や病態解析研究を行い、胎児・小児医学の発展を目指す。同院には、多様な胎児・小児医療分野に精通した専門医が多数在籍している。各大学院生が研究指導を希望する当院の専門医を指導教官(客員教授)に推薦し、東北大学医学系研究科の承認を得て研究指導にあたる。
