Travel Insurance and "Gakkensai" (Malpractice/Liability Insurance)
All elective students are required to buy below (A) and (B) insurances.
(A) Travel insurance that will sufficiently cover the student’s own medical care during the entire travel. The students can buy them in their country. Proof of coverage must be declared in English and submitted after the departments for training are tentatively fixed with other documents.
(B) The University designated insurance (i)”Gakkensai” AND (ii) “Inbound Futai Gakuso” for malpractice and liability during the training/school activities; those are not covered by ordinary travel insurance. It costs 3,260 JPY in total and should be paid in cash on the first day of the program in Japan.

“Personal Accident Insurance for Students Pursuing Education and Research” (“PAS”, <Gakkensai>), and
(ii)
“Comprehensive Insurance for Students Lives Coupled with “Gakkensai” <Inbound Futai Gakuso>
