OUTLINE

Our laboratory tries to solve various problems in society by making full use of knowledge and techniques in a wide range of fields according to our research topics, with physical activity, exercise, sports, lifestyle, and health as keywords. Currently, our research topics can be broadly classified into two main areas.

A. Epidemiology
1) Epidemiological research on muscle-strengthening exercise and health
2) Birth cohort study on physical activity and physical fitness of mothers and their children
3) Epidemiological research on lifestyle, including dietary habits and health among workers

B. Exercise Physiology
1) Elucidation of the mechanism by which cold sensory stimulation improves exercise capacity

In addition to these topics, our lab also conducts research on game analysis and topic classification using machine learning and other information science techniques. In the future, we plan to challenge the field of behavioral science by exploring the reasons why people move in daily life and the messages that move people.
Our graduate students come from a wide variety of faculties and countries. In our lab, each student with a different background sets his or her own topic and tries to solve problems in society and in the field by making the most of his or her strengths. 運動学分野では身体活動、運動、スポーツ、生活習慣、健康をキーワードに、研究テーマに応じた幅広い領域の知識や技術を駆使して、社会おける様々な問題の解決を図っています。現在、進めている研究テーマは主に2つの領域に大別されます。

A. 疫学分野
1)筋力トレーニングと健康の疫学研究
2)母子の身体活動と体力に関する出生前コホート研究
3)勤労者を対象とした食習慣を含む生活習慣と健康の疫学研究

B. 運動生理学分野
1)冷感知覚刺激による運動能力向上のメカニズムの解明

この他にも研究室では機械学習等の情報科学技術を用いたゲーム分析やトピック分類の研究も行っており、今後は日常生活において人が動く理由や人を動かすメッセージの探索など、行動科学分野への挑戦もしていく予定です。
大学院生の出身学部・出身国も多彩です。本研究室では、背景が異なる一人一人が自分でテーマを設定し、それぞれの得意なところを生かして、社会や現場の問題解決に挑戦しています。一緒に研究を通して解決案を社会へ提案してみませんか?
